Cynthia Gieskes is a member of our Commercial law practice.

Cynthia specializes in contract law and general commercial law, with a particular emphasis on dispute resolution. In addition to her work in these areas, Cynthia has a strong interest in Banking and Finance law, particularly in matters related to financial sanctions, where she is heavily involved.

Education

Cynthia holds a Master of Laws from the University of Antwerp and a certificate in Banking and Finance Law from the Université Catholique de Louvain, which she obtained in 2023. Prior to her law studies, she earned a Bachelor's in Sinology from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) in 2008. As part of her Sinology studies, she studied Mandarin at Fudan University in Shanghai, PRC, during the 2005-2006 academic year.

Admission

Cynthia was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2015. She also practiced at the Antwerp Bar from 2019 to 2020.
