This week, the Liber Amicorum of Xavier Dieux was revealed to the public. Our Dispute Resolution Partner, Jean-Pierre Fierens, and two of our Associates, Angélique Daponte and Cyro Vangoidsenhoven, have contributed to this book with a chapter on summary dismissal in international arbitration, a topic which has generated lately a lot of interest.

The authors discuss the advantages and disadvantages of summary dismissal and provide an overview of the differences between the various institutional rules. Finally, they analyze the status of summary dismissal in Belgium.
